How Criterion Works

Use the case intake form to tell us the specialty you need, the expert specialty, practice area, jurisdiction, timeline requirements, and case theory. Include any relevant documents (demand, prior expert reports, medical records). The more detail you provide, the better our search.

A Criterion search specialist will reach out to clarify any details about your case, ask follow-up questions about your preferred expert profile, and confirm your timeline and budget. We want to understand your case — not just the checkbox version.

Our specialist searches the Criterion Expert Panel for practitioners who match your needs: practice setting, experience level, jurisdiction familiarity, and specialty depth. This is an active search, not a database query.

All candidate experts undergo conflict-of-interest review, credential verification, and Daubert/admissibility assessment. Prior adverse findings are reviewed. Only candidates who pass all screening move forward.

You receive a detailed profile for each candidate expert: full CV, practice summary, relevant case history, rates, availability, and any limiting factors. You are never surprised by an expert's background or opinions.

Review the profiles at your pace. Ask us questions. Request additional candidates if none of the initial profiles are the right fit. We support your decision-making — not pressure it.

Once you select an expert, we make the introduction and step back. You and your expert work directly from that point forward. We remain available for logistics, scheduling, or additional expert needs on the case.
